About

About EconomicStreets:

Usually, people tend to use metrics such as GDP growth, life expectancy, literacy levels, and other common facts to compare the rate of development in regions worldwide.

The power of the capital markets in catalyzing this development is tremendous. Often, however, it is unappreciated by many – at times, simply due to the lack of understanding or access.

What’s an IPO? What does a bank actually do? What sectors are getting funding? Where is technology headed? Wall Street – and the global investment community – play an absolutely fascinating role in getting ideas to capital and facilitating progress. Think about it – practically every developed country has a phenomenal market system. Information flows quicker, more efficiently, and more transparently – and importantly, ownership and investments are accessible to at least a good portion of that nation’s population.

How amazing would it be, then, if the entire world was able to participate in the markets? That’s the aim of Economicstreets: To develop knowledge and enhance interest in the markets, so we can make the world a better place.
